Kelly E. Bunt, LCSW
Clinical Director & Owner

Kelly Bunt, LCSW, is the owner and Clinical Director of KB Forensics. She has worked in the field of sexual abuse prevention for 17 years. Over the years she has significantly contributed to the development of treatment curricula for offenders, non-offending partners and family members. She has established and fostered ongoing relationships with collaborative partners involved in the supervision of sex offenders to ensure the safety of the community.
Kelly’s professional affiliations are as a clinical member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA), as well as a member of the New York State ATSA chapter. In June 2017, Kelly was elected to the New York State ATSA Board.
Kelly has presented at the New York State Child Abuse Prevention Conference, Massachusetts’ ATSA Annual State Chapter Conference, National ATSA Conference, as well as for other local organizations and colleges. She sits on the Executive Council of Dutchess County’s Criminal Justice Council, is the Chair of the Victims Committee (a sub-committee of the Dutchess County Criminal Justice Council), Dutchess County’s Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) steering committee, as well as SART campus sub-committee, and Dutchess County’s Law Enforcement Sex Offender Management Group.
Recognition awards include the Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence (CASADA) award, Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition, New York State Senate Proclamation, and Recognition by Dutchess County Legislature.

Jeanné DeSanna, LCSW-R, has worked as a therapist providing sex offender-specific treatment since 2006. In addition, she brings 12 years of clinical experience with individuals diagnosed with Intellectual Disabilities to the KB Forensics team.
Jeanné is a clinical member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) and a member of the New York State ATSA chapter.

Jay Herman, LCSW

Jay Herman, LCSW, has worked in the field of sexual violence prevention and education since 2013. Jay has worked with teens and adults in various settings including residential, educational, outpatient and private practice before joining the KB Forensics team. Jay is professionally affiliated as a member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA), as well as a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). Jay has previously served as a board member of the Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence (CASADA) and on the Dutchess County Human Rights Commission. They provide individual and group therapy, utilizing a person-centered and trauma responsive approach with cognitive-behavioral, somatic and psychodynamic modalities.
Emily Hilliard, MHC-LP
Therapist

Emily Hilliard, MHC-LP, comes to KB Forensics with a background in clinical mental health counseling and work in the juvenile justice system. Her focus has involved both service to and research on justice-involved youth and their families. She has experience working with children, teens, parents, and adults in individual and group counseling. She utilizes person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, play therapy, and somatic modalities of treatment with a developmental approach that ensures that everyone’s unique experiences and needs are met with the appropriate care. In 2024, Emily Hilliard was awarded the Richard Hamill Award by NYS Association for the Prevention and Treatment of Sexual Abusers (NYS ATSA), which honors “outstanding students currently working or studying in sex-offense-specific treatment and management fields.” She was also the recipient of the 2025 Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program Outstanding Student Award by her graduate school.
Gabriella Kenner, LCSW

Gabriella Kenner, LCSW, has worked in the field of sexual abuse prevention for 3 years. Gabriella comes to KB Forensics with eight years experience working with incarcerated men in New York State prisons. Her focus included justice involved persons specializing in family dynamics, healthy relationships and communication which extended to working with the client, partners, and children.
Gabriella has presented at the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) New York Chapter annual joint conference, on treatment and her curriculum contributions to non-offending caregiver work. Additionally, Gabriella has presented at the New York State Coalition Against Sexual Assault (NYSCASA) and at The Westchester Fatherhood Conference.
She is professionally affiliated as a member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA), as well as a member of the Board of Directors for New York State ATSA (NYSATSA) chapter. Her therapy involves both group and individual treatment and utilizes person-centered, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and trauma informed approaches, as well as other modalities.
Dr. Joel Lord, Ph.D.

Dr. Lord began working with men who have committed sexual offenses since 1997. He has previously served as Chief Psychologist at both Ulster County Mental Health and The Division of Forensic Services at the New York State Office of Mental Health.
Dr. Lord is Board Certified in Clinical Psychology.
In 2019 he was awarded the Marilyn Etcheverry Award of Excellence, “for excellence in the assessment and treatment of individuals with problematic sexual behaviors”, by the New York State Alliance for the Prevention of Sexual Abuse, and the New York State Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (NYSATSA).

Amanda Silvagnoli, LMSW
Therapist

Amanda Silvagnoli, LMSW, comes to KB Forensics with a background in crisis intervention having conducted mental health assessments in an emergency room setting and mobile crisis unit. She is an EMDR trained therapist and incorporates IFS, psychodynamic, DBT, and CBT modalities to meet the needs of the individual. She holds a postgraduate certificate in Expressive Arts, enhancing her therapeutic approach with creative outlets. In addition to clinical work she has participated in policy and advocacy work in New York State, participating in a project with PCANY to increase funding for home visiting programs for families and children. She is professionally affiliated as a member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA)
Brett Stevens, LMHC

Brett Stevens, LMHC, began his career providing sexual-offense specific counseling to men incarcerated in a NYS prison. He has since gained experience in community-based sexual-offense specific treatment, outpatient behavioral health services, and home-based family and child interventions. Brett is professionally affiliated as a member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA), the New York State ATSA chapter, (NYSATSA) the American Counseling Association (ACA), and the Hudson Valley Chapter of the New York Mental Health Counselors Association (NYMHCA). He provides individual therapy and group counseling drawing from numerous modalities. By utilizing an integrative, person-centered approach, he strives to highlight one’s own strengths and insights while working to uncover their internal motivations for change.
